Explain events in Laravel

Events provide a way to broadcast and listen for specific occurrences or actions within your application. The event system in Laravel follows the Observer design pattern, where one class (the subject) maintains a list of dependents (observers) that are notified of any state changes.

The primary benefit of using events lies in decoupling different functionalities within your application. For instance, consider a scenario where you want to send an email notification every time an order is shipped. Instead of tightly coupling the order processing code with the email notification, you can trigger an OrderShipped event. This event can then be picked up by a listener, which is responsible for dispatching the email notification.

Laravel's events facilitate a more modular and flexible architecture by allowing multiple listeners to respond independently to a single event without being dependent on each other. This promotes code organization and maintainability within your application.
